Including the rhodium clip on fastening, this earring measures just 4cm high with the millefiori glass bead being just under 1cm high and wide. The adorable beads used on this earring will range from blue to black depending upon how much cobalt was in the section of glass used to make the piece you receive. Millefiori is an Italian term for a special style of their world famous Murano glass work. Mille is Italian for thousand and fiore means flowers. The glass bead has some very cute flowers on it. Like all murano glass, these beads have delicate looks but are not considered particularly fragile and should last a long time if you care for them appropriately.
